Simon Jordan claims ‘world-class’ Man City star is good enough to play for any team

In recent years, Manchester City has solidified their position as the best team in English football.
Pep Guardiola’s team has proven how good their roster is by becoming the first to win four Premier League trophies in a row.
The fact that the Manchester United team had more players (14) chosen from their senior squad to represent their nations in the 2024 European Championship than any other top-tier team only serves to emphasize the caliber of players on the team.
A pundit has singled out one of those players as being especially outstanding as a few of them get ready to play in this weekend’s final between England and Spain.
Simon Jordan says Rodri is in a class of his own
“England have players that can match the Spanish,” he declared. Not Rodri; Rodri exists in a separate universe. He is the best player at his position and a masterclass who can fit into any domestic or international team.
“I believe he is the conduit for a lot of what Spain does. He is the one who coordinates the side’s thought, caliber, and excellence.
“He’s a player who, in my opinion, embodies what a world-class player looks like because, in my opinion, he could play in any domestic or international team anywhere in the world. When we talk about world-class players, we throw that term around like confetti.”
England will have to contain Rodri in the final
With an overall performance rating of 7.62/10 at the end of the previous Premier League season—the second-highest in the division—Rodri is unquestionably one of the top midfielders in Europe.
Indeed, Micah Richards declared earlier this week that the Spaniard is currently the world’s best defensive midfielder.
In the midfield third of the pitch, Rodri has completed more passes (379) and made more successful tackles than any other Spanish player in the Euros. Therefore, it is obvious that England must try their hardest to contain the City star on Sunday and limit his impact on the game.
