Arsenal transfers: Arteta signing to make escape as insider confirms he’s agreed to fully depart
Following the recent club-to-club agreement with Lazio, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a Mikel Arteta signing has decided to leave Arsenal on personal terms.
Since assuming leadership at the Emirates, Arteta has made some incredible business decisions. The additions of Declan Rice, Ben White, and Martin Odegaard are among the highlights.
Several of his acquisitions have fit in with the Gunners team quite well, making the team a title contender the last two seasons.
With some of his additions, though, the Spanish coach has fallen short of expectations.
Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Pablo Mari, and other players that were signed early in his tenure did not perform well at the Emirates.
Since joining the Gunners in the summer of 2021, the latter has only made 28 appearances on the field, all of which occurred during his rookie campaign.
He has since spent stints at Nottingham Forest and Marseille, proving that Arsenal is no longer in need of his skills.
His departure appears to be imminent, as recent sources have indicated
