“Perhaps at Manchester United” – Old Trafford seen as likelier destination for player, transfer idea not going away
Manchester United are a likelier destination for Juventus sensation Federico Chiesa this summer than Napoli.
That’s at least according to journalist Nicolò Ceccarini, who has projected Manchester United as a more likelier destination should Chiesa leave Juventus this summer.
The Italian forward has been strongly associated with leaving Juventus during this summer’s transition period under new boss Thiago Motta.
Manchester United is one of the teams rumored to be considering a possible move to the Premier League, which has been mentioned for months.
In fact, a report from the end of the previous month hinted that they would be involved in a trade for Mason Greenwood, which would be advantageous to both sides.
Manchester United hasn’t been discussed since then, but Nicolò Ceccarini has suddenly brought them up again, implying that they have a much higher chance than Napoli.
“Chiesa? Respected by Conte, no doubt, but Roma was the Italian team that showed the greatest interest. However, he added, “I would see him more overseas, maybe at Manchester United, if he didn’t continue at Juventus.
Put another way, he believes that Manchester United is currently a much better fit for Chiesa than Napoli or any other Italian team.
