SPOILERS for the May 21 episode of WWE NXT
WWE recorded the May 21 episode of NXT at their Performance Center in Orlando last night, May 14, in addition to their usual live broadcast. Presumably, this was done to enable anyone who routinely works on the show to do so when they have to travel to Saudi Arabia for King & Queen of the Ring next week.
Corey Brennan of Fightful has provided spoilers for next Tuesday’s USA Network programming, which includes at least some of the following:
- NXT champion Trick Williams’ in-ring promo was cut short by Meta-Four. Williams was attacked by Gallus. Trick was not spared from Je’Von Evans’ clutches.
Lexus King was absent due to a match. Mr. Stone showed up but said nothing, simply pointing to the large screen to show who King’s opponent was—Dante Chen.
The NXT Tag titles were successfully defended by Axiom & Nathan Frazer against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino of The D’Angelo Family. Again, no details here, although both The OC and No Quarter Catch Crew participated in the contest.
- Shayna Baszler & Lola Vice Defeated by Karmen Petrovic & Natalie
- Vice turned on Baszler and “choked her out” following the main event. Vice and Baszler’s match was officially set for Battleground by NXT General Manager then showed up to confirm that the match will take place underneath.
