Arsenal ‘about to prevail’ and seal signing – Agent working to close gap
Calciomercato said earlier today that Arsenal’s pursuit of Riccardo Calafiori is safe and that the agreement can be cleared at any time.
It was also mentioned that Bologna, who are requesting €50 million for their star, and the Gunners are working out a fixed fee, bonuses, payment schedule, and percentage on any future sales.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal and the Serie A team are still in negotiations as a “agreement is being sought” for the defenser.
He notes that Bologna is asking for €50 million plus bonuses, and he adds that the north London club is offering €50 million, though it is unclear if that includes bonuses.
In an effort to find the “right compromise” to get his client to the Emirates, Alessandro Lucci, Calafiori’s agent, is trying to bridge the divide between Bologna and Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Premier League team decided to back the center-back after seeing his impressive performances for Italy during the Euros. Additionally, he has drawn interest from Chelsea, Juventus, and Bayer Leverkusen, among other teams.
Di Marzio asserts that Arsenal is “about to prevail” in the race to sign the Italy international now that they have taken the lead.
